Examinations offer a perfect goal-directed program, which will keep students interested in their dancing and working to develop a lifetime hobby or full time careeer.  Students who commit to the scrutiny of an Examiner will work harder to develop more polished dance presentations by incorporating the correct technique and styling for each dance.  There is no greater way to truly learn and understand dancing than to prepare for a formal certification examination.

In 2004, we introduced the DVIDA Student Medal Test program in the American Style Rhythm and Smooth Dances. Since then, over 650 students have received certification through this program, which is held annually and invigilated by a certified US DVIDA examiner.

 

Dance Vision International Dance Association (DVIDA) is a US based organization offering internationally recognized certification in dance.  DVIDA is a member of the National Dance Council of America which is the official governing body for professional dancing in the United States.

 

The Student Medal Test is an opportunity to have your dancing progress evaluated and critiqued by an independent source other than your teacher or other studio representatives. This process assures that high quality standards are maintained, and that the student is being taught in accordance to worldwide standards of dancing.
